Ukrainian forces continue to push eastwards towards the Russian border as Putin’s invading army is on the retreat.Maps published by Russian media outlet Rybar prepared just four hours apart show a massive Ukrainian push in northern Kherson, with Russian resistance crumbling as Ukrainian tanks pour into the region.

The advance on a broad front is 30 miles deep at some points. As Moscow seeks to consolidate its position following last week’s sham “independence referendums” for four regions of Ukraine, Russian troops have also retreated from the strategically important town of Lyman in Donetsk. There will be even more in a week’s time”.Professor Michael Clarke, a security and defence analyst, told The Times: “Lyman is a big moment because the Russians intended that to be their stepping stone to take the rest of the Donbas.

When the Russians lose Lyman they lose their main artery to supply their troops easily from Belgorod through to the south".The advances are continuing, with President Zelenskyy confirming in his nightly address "fierce fighting continues in many areas”.In the south of the country, Vladimir Saldo, Russian-backed leader of the Kherson region, has admitted that Ukrainian forces have broken through near Dudchany, a town on the Dnipro river some 20 miles south of the previous front line."There are settlements that are occupied by Ukrainian forces," Saldo said.
