For the celebrations on March 8, several sections of the Russian armed forces will host beauty pageants, competing women against each other in cooking and sewing competitions.
For the big event on Sunday Russian paratroopers will host a pageant called “Beauty of the Airborne Forces.” The contest will see women take part in several challenges where they will demonstrate their beauty, intelligence, “aesthetic excellence, along with moral and spiritual properties.” The contestants will also be asked to show their skills in cooking and serving in a “Magic Chef” contest.
