Prince Philip has been seen on his first royal engagement for a year. The Duke of Edinburgh took part in a ceremony to transfer the title of Colonel-in-Chief of The Rifles to Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall.Philip, 99, took part in the ceremony from Windsor Castle in Berkshire, while the Duchess, 73, was at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.It marks the end of his stint as the Colonel-in-Chief of The Rifles, a position which he has held since 2007.At Windsor Castle, four buglers from the Band and Bugles of The Rifles were standing to attention when the duke - who served as a Royal Navy officer during the Second World War - arrived on the steps of the Equerries' Entrance.They sounded The Rifles Regimental Call at Windsor Castle, followed.
