Prince Philip will break his retirement to carry out a rare engagement with his daughter-in-law this week. The Duke of Edinburgh will officially hand over his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Rifles Regiment to Camilla at a low-key ceremony.
It will be split between two locations, beginning at Windsor Castle for Philip's part before moving up to Highgrove for Camilla's section.
The Queen's husband has held the role since 2007, when The Rifles were formed, however his connection goes back way further as he's been Colonel-in-Chief of the regiments which it's made up of since 1953.
It's been a busy week for Philip, and he attended his granddaughter Princess Beatrice's wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on Friday.
