Eager shoppers flocking to the new 24-hour-a-day Primark store openings got stuck in queues for hours. One customer who wound up queueing for more than two hours in Manchester branded it 'organised chaos'.
On Wednesday night, a Primark in the Trafford Centre was one of just 11 stores around the UK to open around the clock. Enthusiastic bargain hunters piled into the store to shop for the first time since the national lockdown started, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Dubbed 'wild Wednesday', retailers were expecting swathes of shoppers to head to the high street as they welcomed customers back after a month of closure.
