South Ayrshire schools have been praised for supporting their own mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic.Pupils came together to boost each other through the stresses of attending school as coronavirus raged.And they have been recognised for their supportive work by a team created to ensure positive mental health and wellbeing in classrooms.
Prestwick Academy and Cairn Primary School were both given praise for their efforts as they were awarded the 'Say It Out LOUD Charter'.
The charter was created by the South Ayrshire Youth Forum who were impressed by projects at both schools. Cairn Primary pupils shone with their very own mental health and wellbeing committee.
