The Premier League and Football League have admitted that they face “difficult decisions” as the 2019-20 season remains suspended amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
The continued COVID-19 pandemic is set to lead to a considerable financial fall-out, with numerous pay cuts and job losses across English football expected.
But they have again stated there will be no return to action until it is safe to do so. All football has been suspended by the Football Association until at least April 30.
But realising a re-start on anything close to that date is looking increasingly difficult amid the ongoing worldwide pandemic.
