The partner of a former Hollyoaks actress who died in a horror motorway crash has described the killer's sentence as "insulting." Frankie Jules-Hough was killed when Adil Iqbal, 22, crashed into the back of her car on the M66, in Bury, while he was speeding at 123mph.
A court heard that Iqbal was driving his BMW with one hand, while holding his phone in the other, filming himself swerving across the lanes at high speed, on May 13 this year.
In July he was sentenced to 12 years in prison for killing Frankie and her unborn daughter, who she was 17 weeks pregnant with.
Frankie was pulled over on the hard shoulder with a puncture at the time of the crash. Her two sons and nephew were in the car at the time and also suffered serious injuries but survived the impact.
