A woman who was arrested after a pedestrian was killed in a crash in Bolton has been released on bail, police have confirmed.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident on Melbourne Grove in the Horwich area at around 2.15pm yesterday (August 7).
Police officers, paramedics and fire crews responded, as an air ambulance also landed nearby. Greater Manchester Police said a 72-year-old woman was hit by a car as she walked along the pavement.
