Plans floated for city centre rooftop pool on top of Escape to Freight Island

Sitting on top of the popular restaurant, the pool could form part of the regeneration of Mayfield. The Mayfield Partnership is also responsible for developing Mayfield Park, which will see Manchester’s first city centre park in 100 years open next autumn.
The rooftop pool is currently only under discussion - the Mayfield Partnership said the idea is at “an early stage, and may yet prove to be impractical”.
