David de Gea believes Manchester United players deserve to take most of the blame after an 'embarrassing' defeat to Watford at the weekend.
United have now lost five of their last seven matches in the Premier League after they were thoroughly beaten 4-1 at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.
Defeat has piled even more pressure onto under-fire manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but De Gea believes the players need to take the brunt of the blame after such a humiliating loss.
Speaking after the game the Spaniard admitted standards have slipped at the club and he says players can't avoid the role they are playing in the loss of form. "There's not much to say - it was embarrassing to see Man United play like we did today," he told BBC Sport.
