Piers Morgan hinted he's set to replace Jon Snow on Channel 4 News – but the show’s bosses don't seem too keen on signing him up as host.
The news anchor left ITV in March after a fall-out over his comments about Meghan Markle, and now another hosting seat has become vacant after Jon announced he is leaving his role fronting Channel 4 News after 32 years.
Piers tweeted: “Shall I dust down my tie collection @Channel4News ?" But the response was less than enthusiastic, as Channel 4 News editor Ben de Pear replied: "Don't ring us, we'll ring you." Jon, 73, announced his plans to quit the flagship news programme on Thursday, but he will not be retiring - just focusing on other projects.
