Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has asked singer Katherine Jenkins to release her own version of We’ll Meet Again to raise money during the coronavirus crisis.
The controversial broadcaster, who has received praise for his contribution in querying and battling Covid-19, suggested classical singer Jenkins, 39, could cover Dame Vera Lynn’s wartime classic after it was referenced by the Queen in her Sunday night address to the nation.
Morgan thought Jenkins could sing the song alongside children, after a young girl went viral when she sung the song to family members who worked on the NHS frontline.
Jenkins has a history of performing the beloved track, previously duetting alongside Dame Vera Lynn for the D-Day anniversary in 2017.
