Philippe Coutinho will be out for three months having undergone surgery on his knee. The Barcelona star's operation was successful and he will now begin his rehabilitation process.
Coutinho has looked to force his way into Ronald Koeman's plans having been loaned out last season. The Brazilian has started eight of their 16 La Liga games and made 14 appearances in all competitions.
Coutinho has scored three times for a Barcelona side that are considerably off the pace domestically and could finish the season trophyless.
The former Liverpool man has been linked with a Nou Camp exit but has remained in Spain for now. A Premier League return has been touted but back in November his agent Kia Joorabchian declared their intention to stay
