Celebrities are calling out and reacting to the Trump Administration allowing a bill to move forward to the Supreme Court which would give adoption agencies the right to refuse LGBTQ couples to adopt a child.
In the bried, that was filed this week, the DOJ is arguing that “cities should not be able to protect LGBTQ+ couples from discrimination by religious organizations.” It all dates back to 2018 when Catholic Social Services sued the city of Philadelphia.
CSS refused to place a child with a same sex couple, which went against their contract with the city that stated they must abide by nondiscrimination policies.
