Perth's The Kilted Coaches reflect on book and TV show success
dailyrecord.co.ukIt has been an exciting few months for Perth’s The Kilted Coaches after they launched their own undercover weight-loss TV show and published their fitness book.
And internet sensations Stephen Clarke and Rab Shields spoke of their pride at how both can help people stick to New Year’s resolutions - whether it is losing weight or improving mental wellbeing.In Secret Body, which started last month, the pair help people hide their weight-loss journey by wearing a bodysuit the exact same size of their pre-transformation bodies – until a big reveal to friends and family.The duo also launched their own book ‘The Kilted Coaches: How to stick to the damn plan’ back in October 2021, which has also proved to be a hit.
Speaking to the PA about their book they said: “Since the TV show has started airing we have seen a larger demand for the books coming in. “Waterstones in Perth were kind enough to create a big window display with our books stacked up so that’s a great sign.“We were both personal trainers for many years and came to the realisation that there were many people out there making themselves unhappy trying to achieve the very thing they ‘thought’ would solve all their problems.“Health and happiness is vital to long-term success so any changes made need to be sustainable and enjoyable.“Our book is designed to be less ‘preachy’ as many healthy books are, and more like a casual and yet insightful chat with a friend over coffee.On Secret Body, they added: “We are very chuffed about Secret Body.“A lot goes into filming a series of this setup, working with so many clients across the country and we were very blessed that all the contributors were honest and hard working.“Each and every one of them had a fantastic but very
