This means it wouldn’t line up with the Disney+ TV series, which is set after the events of Return Of The Jedi, so don’t expect to see Baby Yoda.The game will reportedly see players take control of a Mandalorian bounty hunter and collect various bounties dead or alive, for a cash reward.

Respawn Entertainment is opening a third studio to support the development of Apex Legends, weeks after parent company EA laid off over 200 of the game’s testers.Respawn’s third studio will be located in Madison, Wisconsin, and will initially support the company’s battle royale shooter Apex Legends.As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, the studio will be led by Ryan Burnett, who previously worked as Epic Games‘ director of engine production and, prior to that, worked at Call Of Duty developer Raven Software for 14 years.“Wisconsin is quickly becoming a central development hub here,” Burnett told GamesIndustry.biz.

Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Apex Legends, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Titanfall, has called out the “harassment” its developers are receiving from some players.Taking to Twitter, Respawn shared a statement that explains how “recently, we have seen increased harassment towards members of our development team.”“We welcome community input, however the line between constructive feedback and the harassment of our dev team cannot be crossed,” the post continued.“We want to remind our players that we have a zero tolerance policy for the threats and the harassment of our developers. We will take appropriate action to ensure the health and safety of our team,” Respawn added.

Apex Legends is a popular battle royal game that took the gaming world by storm back in February of 2019. The game has players pick from a certain number of different characters that they call Legends and they each have their own unique abilities.

EA and Respawn Entertainment has confirmed when Apex Legends Mobile will launch.The mobile version of the hugely popular Battle Royale game will be released on May 17 for iOS and Android.The game has been developed by a dedicated team at Respawn, in conjunction with Tencent‘s Lightspeed & Quantum Studios. The studio is best known for its work on PUBG Mobile as well as dozens of other mobile games.Along with the news, a cinematic launch trailer has also been unveiled to remind players of what to expect.Players who pre-register for the game will unlock exclusive rewards.

Respawn Entertainment has announced that PS5 and Xbox Series X|S updates have come to Apex Legends, with further improvements planned.Confirmed to be arriving today (March 29), the next-gen update brings with it 4K and HDR output, 60Hz gameplay, higher resolution shadows and longer draw distances.Respawn has also said that more will be coming to these versions of Apex Legends in future updates, such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on PS5, visual and audio improvements and full 120Hz gameplay.For players on Xbox consoles Apex Legends will use Smart Delivery to automatically add these improvements to the game, whilst PS5 players will need to follow a few steps to get the update on their system.On PS5, first navigate to the game hub for Apex Legends, then press “options” next to “play game” (which is in the “…” menu), press “select version” and choose the one labelled PS5. Once the download is complete Respawn also says to delete the PS4 version from the console.It should also be noted that whilst the update is coming to all modern consoles, the Xbox Series S will only be getting the 60Hz and HDR features.Today also marks the return of 9v9 domination mode Control in Apex Legends, where players will need to work as a team to take control of points on the map, and there’s also a new Arena map called Drop-Off being added as well.Taking place above the skyline of Malta, Drop-Off focuses on short to long-range sight lines  and vertical options for players to use during combat.An official blog post details all the changes coming to Apex Legends today.
