Selome Hailu “Welcome to Wrexham” has been renewed for a fourth season at FX. The news was announced by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny during Disney’s 2024 upfront presentation.

FX has handed a series order to English Teacher, a comedy created by and starring Brian Jordan Alvarez. Paul Simms (FX’s Atlanta and What We Do in the Shadows), serves as an executive producer on the project, which was originally ordered to pilot in June 2022.

FX has renewed Welcome to Wrexham for a third season and is set to premiere in Spring 2024.

The Bear has finally been renewed for season 3 at FX (and Hulu!)

FX is touting record performance for the premiere of its new docuseries Dear Mama.

BreAnna Bell FX’s latest docuseries opened on a high note, the network reveals. According to multi-platform ratings, the “Dear Mama” debut scored FX’s most watched premiere for an unscripted series ever. The show opened on FX on April 21 and became available to stream the following day on Hulu, which combined for the record setting performance. From director Allen Hughes, the five-part docuseries explores the lives and legacies of mother and son, Afeni and Tupac Shakur. A renowned revolutionary, Afeni became a feminist figure of the ’70s, a female leader in the movement amidst the macho milieu of the Black Panther Party. Tupac, a rapper and poet, also became a political visionary, philosopher and one of the greatest rap artists of all time. “Their story chronicles the possibilities and contradictions of the United States from a time of revolutionary fervor to Hip Hop culture’s most ostentatious decade,” reads the official description.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter “Reservation Dogs” has been renewed for Season 3. The FX series airs exclusively on Hulu. The news comes as the critically-acclaimed series is still airing its second season. Season 2 will conclude on Sept. 28. The third season is expected to debut in 2023. “’Reservation Dogs’ continues its remarkable run with critics, fans and awards all recognizing the singular brilliance of the series created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi,” said Nick Grad, president of original programming for FX. “FX is proud to join with our partners at Hulu to order a third season featuring the amazing cast and all of the artists who deliver one of the most original, engaging and funny shows on television.”

Director Kevin Bray is cementing his relationship with FX.

BreAnna Bell Kevin Bray has inked a first-look deal with FX productions, the production company announced on Thursday. As part of the agreement, Bray will be developing new content for FX. The deal further expands Bray’s relationship with FX. Bray directed the first three episodes of FX’s “The Patient” as well as several episodes of “The Americans” and “Snowfall.” In partnership with Color Force, Bray will also executive produce and direct on “The Sterling Affairs,” FX’s limited series about the downfall of Los Angeles Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling starring Laurence Fishburne, Ed O’Neill and Jacki Weaver. “We’ve been fortunate to work with Kevin on some of FX’s most acclaimed series and he’s a gifted artist with the skills to create series of his own,” said Nick Grad, FX’s president of original programming. “Kevin’s a wildly accomplished director and producer whose latest work on The Patient is among his best and will be on display in The Sterling Affairs and the projects he develops in the future for FX.”

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Chika Chukudebelu Igwilo has joined FX as senior vice president of development Chukudebelu Igwilo joins FX from HBO Max, where she most recently served as vice president of original programming, drama. In her new role, she will report to Gina Balian and Nick Grad, co-presidents of original programming at FX. “Chika is an extraordinarily talented creative executive with a proven track record of discovering and nurturing talent and guiding projects to success in an incredibly competitive environment,” said Grad and Balian. “We are honored to add such a gifted creative executive to our development team, building on the strength of the team to continue FX’s tradition of fearless storytelling.”

Chika Chukudebelu Igwilo has joined FX as senior vice president of development. She will report to Gina Balian and Nick Grad, the presidents of original programming.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterFX has ordered a limited series exclusively for Hulu from Steven Knight with Elisabeth Moss set to star, Variety has learned.Titled “The Veil,” the show is described as a thriller that explores the surprising and fraught relationship between two women who play a deadly game of truth and lies on the road from Istanbul to Paris and London. One woman has a secret, the other a mission to reveal it before thousands of lives are lost.“We’re excited to continue our partnership with Steven Knight on ‘The Veil’ and thrilled to have Elisabeth Moss sign on for the lead role,” said Nick Grad, president of original programming at FX. “Steven’s scripts are riveting and no doubt will showcase Elisabeth’s exceptional talent.” Knight is writing and executive producing “The Veil,” with Moss executive producing under her Love & Squalor Pictures banner.

Selome Hailu “Breeders” has been renewed for its fourth season at FX.The comedy series stars Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard in an exploration of the challenges of modern parenting. Season 3, which concluded on July 11, picked up days after the end of Season 2, as the Worsley family reels from teenaged Luke (Alex Eastwood) punching his dad, Paul (Freeman). Paul has moved out and is staying at his mother-in-law Leah’s (Stella Gonet) house.

Breeders, the comedy series about parenting that stars Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard, has been renewed for a fourth season on FX and UK’s Sky.

Selome Hailu Billy Porter has signed a first look deal with FX Productions to develop new content through his production company Incognegro with his producing partner D.J. Gugenheim.The deal is a continuation of Porter’s with FX, as he starred as Prayerful “Pray” Tell in all three seasons of the network’s hit drama “Pose.” in 2019, the role won him the Emmy Award for lead drama actor, and he was nominated again in 2020 and 2021.Along with “Pose,” Porter is best known for originating the role of Lola in “Kinky Boots” on Broadway.

What We Do in the Shadows has been renewed for fifth and sixth seasons by FX.

FX has revealed that its hit show Snowfall will be back for one more, and final, season on the network, according to Variety.

Selome Hailu FX has renewed “Snowfall,” the crime drama created by John Singleton, Eric Amadio and Dave Andron, for its sixth and final season.The series is set in Los Angeles during the crack cocaine epidemic of the 1980s. Season 5, which is currently airing on FX, takes place in summer 1986, and follows Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) and his family as they’ve become rich and are on the verge of having everything they’ve ever wanted, until basketball star Len Bias’ crack-related death sends lawmakers and the Los Angeles Police Department after them.

The end is in sight for FX’s critically acclaimed drama series Snowfall. The network has renewed the series, co-created by the late John Singleton, for a sixth and final season.
