Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Ryan Reynolds‘ Maximum Effort and Fubo have ordered new original series “Neon Dimension,” a video game show hosted by actor and comedian Flula Borg, for their Maximum Effort Channel. More specifically, it’s hosted by Borg’s disembodied head.

Lexi Carson Your favorite imaginary friends are coming to streaming. “IF” will be available to watch on Paramount+ on July 9. The film, released in May, follows a young girl named Bea (Cailey Fleming) who’s going through a hard time as her dad (John Krasinski) is in the hospital.

Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski’s imaginary friends have a date with Paramount+. Paramount Pictures’ IF is set to begin streaming on the platform on July 9 in the U.S. and Canada. International Paramount+ markets will be announced at a later date.

FX is pushing back its kickoff time for the third season of Welcome to Wrexham.

Todd Spangler NY Digital Editor As it tries to reverse a tide of red ink, FuboTV is rebranding its internet pay-TV service Fubo — and the company unveiled a new brand campaign co-produced with Maximum Effort, the advertising and production company headed by Ryan Reynolds, who’s an investor in Fubo. Fubo’s new nationwide ad campaign features NBA champion and Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett (pictured above) and former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez, with the tagline, “If Sports Fans Built a Streaming Service.” The multiplatform campaign comprises a series of 15- and 30-second TV spots and digital display ads. Maximum Effort, co-founded by Reynolds and George Dewey, owns $10 million worth of shares in Fubo under a multiyear, first-look deal for unscripted content the production company inked with Fubo.

Maximum Effort, the production and advertising company the “Deadpool” star co-founded and leads with George Dewey, is part of an ownership group for a new 1.2 million-square-foot studio being built in Markham, Ontario, Canada, just outside of Toronto. The studio is one of the first projects for a $1.5 billion private-equity fund that will focus on real estate, sports, media and venture capital. Real-estate development firm Watford Group, based in Markham, is leading the investment raise, which is already halfway committed.

Todd Spangler NY Digital EditorMaximum Effort, the production and advertising company co-founded by Ryan Reynolds and George Dewey, inked a multiyear, first-look deal for unscripted content deal with subscription-TV streamer FuboTV.FuboTV will issue Maximum Effort $10 million worth of shares of common stock in the company, “as part of the overall consideration for Maximum Effort’s participation in the collaboration,” per a regulatory filing Monday.Under the pact, FuboTV has the right to obtain third-party financing to fund all original content, with both Fubo and Maximum Effort jointly owning all original content produced.As part of the deal for an exclusive first-look for unscripted TV series, Maximum Effort will launch Maximum Effort Network — a linear channel on FuboTV over which Maximum Effort Productions will have full creative control — and will also have a blind scripted deal with FuboTV. Prior to forming Maximum Effort in 2018, Reynolds and Dewey teamed on the “Deadpool” movies.

Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort Productions has closed an exclusive multi-year first-look deal with FuboTV for unscripted content. As part of the deal, the prodco will launch Maximum Effort Network, a linear channel on FuboTV, and will also have a blind scripted deal with Fubo TV. The new Maximum Effort Network will join Fubo’s sports, news and entertainment lineup, with Maximum Effort Productions having creative control over the channel’s content.
