Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Ryan Reynolds‘ Maximum Effort and Fubo have ordered new original series “Neon Dimension,” a video game show hosted by actor and comedian Flula Borg, for their Maximum Effort Channel.
More specifically, it’s hosted by Borg’s disembodied head. Per the show’s description, “Broadcasting from inside an arcade cabinet, in ‘Neon Dimension,’ Flula Borg’s floating head hosts the ultimate video game show pitting actors, musicians, podcasters, and even more podcasters against each other in a battle royale of video games from every era.” Created by Ryan McNeely and Josh Martin, known professionally as “The Director Brothers,” and Borg, the five-episode series will launch on Maximum Effort Channel on Fubo and Flula’s YouTube channel on July 20 at 11 a.m.
ET. New episodes will drop weekly on Saturday mornings and reruns will air on Maximum Effort Channel on Monday nights. Guests lined up for the first season of “Neon Dimension” include Reggie Watts & Bobby Moynihan, Joey Valence & Brae, Uncle Roger & Ylona Garcia, Paris Texas, Marques Rey & Mike Castle, as well as a “special surprise guest.” The show is executive produced by George Dewey, Kevin Hill,and Patrick Gooing on behalf of Maximum Effort, David Gandler and Pamela Duckworth on behalf of Fubo Studios, and Flula Borg, Sean Boyle, Josh Martin, Ryan McNeely and Nick Plotquin.
