Father John Misty has today (July 31) shared a reflective new single, ‘I Guess Time Just Makes Fools Of Us All’ while also unveiling details of a new ‘Greatish Hits’ album.The musician – real name Josh Tillman – unveiled the standalone single while announcing details of a greatest hits compilation called ‘Greatish Hits: I Followed My Dreams And My Dreams Said To Crawl’. The album is released digitally today via Bella Union and will arrive physically on August 16.Tillman had been teasing the new track and compilation over the last month and sent a text to fans on his mailing list with a link to the song and a cryptic tease of something more to come.The collection is a career spanning set of songs taken from his five albums to date: ‘Fear Fun’ (2012), ‘I Love You, Honeybear’ (2015), ‘Pure Comedy’ (2017), ‘God’s Favorite Customer’ (2018), and ‘Chloë and The Next 20th Century’ (2022).The album also sees the inclusion of fan-favourite, 2016’s ‘Real Love Baby’ on an album release for the first time.‘I Guess Time Makes Fools of Us All’ closes the compilation but this track will also feature on a new album coming “later this year” from Tillman, according to a new press release.
