It’s finally happening! The Kath & Kim cast are set to return to the screens for a 20th anniversary special of the show. The reboot is set to feature favourites including alter egos from Brighton – Prue and Trude, Sharon Strzelecki, Kath’s husband Kel and Kim’s husband Brett.  This news is a welcome one for fans of the Aussie comedy, who have long waited for the duo to make a comeback after they first made their debut on the ABC in 2002. The sitcom series made its debut on the ABC on 16 May 2002 and by its second season in 2003 had become the highest-rating comedy series on Australian television. The titular characters first emerged on sketch show Big Girl’s Blouse on Channel Seven in 1994 before creators Riley and Turner were commissioned by ABC for the now-iconic show, Kath & Kim. Kylie Minogue has announced that ‘Especially For You’, her 1980s hit single with Jason Donovan, will be reissued in honour of their Neighbours reunion.The track, which was originally released on Donovan’s 1989 debut album ‘Ten Good Reasons’, will be re-released on August 5 and is available to pre-order here. It will arrive on vinyl and cassette tape as a limited edition.‘Especially For You’ was written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman and was released as the second single from ‘Ten Good Reasons’ in November 1988.Minogue announced the news on her Instagram yesterday (July 14) with a photo of a young Kylie and Jason together.In the caption, she wrote: “Now we ARE back together on @neighbours, a limited run of ‘Especially For You’ with @jdonofficial will be available on vinyl and cassette on 5th August to bring back more 80s memories!!”A post shared by Kylie Minogue (@kylieminogue)Minogue played Charlene Mitchell in the show, with Donovan playing Scott Robinson.

To celebrate their reunion for the final ever episode of soap opera ‘Neighbours’, Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan have announced plans to reissue their 1988 single ‘Especially For You’.
