It’s official, Neighbours fans will bid goodbye to Ramsay Street for the final time on Friday July 29th, as Channel 5 airs the last ever episode of the popular Aussie soap.
The iconic show that treated us to swoon worthy romances from Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue, plummeted Hollywood actor Guy Pearce to stardom and introduced the world to other celebrity favourites such as singer Delta Goodrem and House MD actor Jesse Spencer will finally bow out after more than 37 years of captivating audiences around the world.
The news was first announced back in February after Freemantle Media, the production company behind the show, failed to find another network to pick it up, after a deal with Channel 5 fell through.
Originally, the soap aired on BBC One in the UK, with it taking up both an early afternoon and teatime slot on the channel until 2008.
