Farm Aid is coming to Saratoga Springs, NY’s Broadview Stage at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.Taking place Saturday, Sept. 21, the annual extravaganza will deliver country music, classic rock and a bit of soul along with family farm-identified, local and organic foods in an effort to benefit farmers.And, as always, the festival has a great crop of farm-first headliners.

Jack Antonoff has revealed the star-studded soundtrack of the forthcoming TV show ‘The New Look’.The Bleachers frontman has announced he is the producer behind Apple TV’s upcoming series, which will span 10 episodes. The soundtrack will be the first release from Antonoff’s new label Shadow of the City, which is an imprint of Dirty Hit.Now, Antonoff has unveiled all the guests on the soundtrack, which will consist of covers of early to mid-twentieth-century songs. Lana Del Rey, The 1975, Beabadoobee, Nick Cave and Perfume Genius will all make an appearance.The soundtrack’s first single, ‘White Cliffs of Dover’ by Florence + The Machine, will be released on January 31.

This year’s festival takes place Sept. 7-9. The 50th anniversary of hip-hop will be explored, as evidenced in the booking of progenitors like Grandmaster Flash, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels and Chuck D, amid other veteran artists like folk legend Ramblin’ Jack Elliott. Standout younger artists featured include Adia Victoria, Danielle Ponder, Celisse, Cimafunk, Joe Pug, Ruby Amanfu and Matisyahu.

Nashville-based musicians are coming together in a big way — a Bridgestone Arena-sized way — tonight for the show of that name, a benefit concert to raise awareness and funds for the LGBTQ community and its allies in the face of Tennessee legislation that is seen as targeting the rights of gay and trans people generally and drag performers specifically. The generously star-packed show is also being livestreamed internationally via the Veeps platform, with $14.99 tickets available here for a show that begins at 7:30 Nashville time, aka 8:30 ET/5:30 PT. The wide-ranging bill of rock, country, pop, indie and Americana performers includes Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Sheryl Crow, Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, Yola, Brittany Howard, Hozier, Adeem the Artist, Julien Baker, Joy Oladokun, Jake Wesley Rogers and Mya Byrne, along with co-organizer Allison Russell. Late additions to the show since it was first announced include a greater contingent of non-binary and, yes, drag artists from Tennessee on top of the nationally known names.

Among those taking part in the Bridgestone show are Maren Morris and Brothers Osborne, two artists that have spoken up about LGBTQ issues in the often quiet mainstream country world. Others on the bill from the rock, pop, Americana and alternative realms include Paramore’s Haylee Williams, Sheryl Crow, Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, Allison Russell, Yola, Brittany Howard and Hozier. Taylor Swift is set to feature on a new Record Store Day charity compilation titled ‘Portraits Of Her’.Launched back in 2008, RSD will return for its 15th anniversary event on April 23 after hosting two vinyl ‘drop’ dates in 2021.“For RSD 2022, we’re teaming up again with our friends at Vans for a compilation album,” organisers said of ‘Portraits Of Her’ in a statement, “and this one benefits WE ARE MOVING THE NEEDLE, an organization that supports female recording professionals, including audio engineers and producers.”In addition to Swift, the 16-track album will also feature Girl in Red, Julien Baker, Banks, Princess Nokia, Leyla Blue, Boyish, Bully, Alice Longyu Gao, Laura Jane Grace, Asiahn, Girl Ultra, K.
