Steph McGovern nearly threw up on Gordon Brown at No. 10 after wild night out
Channel 4.But Steph McGovern has revealed that she almost threw up her tasty breakfast while interviewing Gordon Brown. What many fail to remember is the fact that the 39-year-old presenter formerly worked as a political journalist during the height of the financial crisis in the late nineties. As a result, the blonde bombshell often found herself rubbing shoulders with the biggest names in the Houses of Parliament – including none other than the then-Prime Minister himself. However, he wasn’t always the cool cat she appears to be on TV nowadays, as the mum-of-one confessed how she loved nothing more than splashing her cash on a wild night out on the town with friends. But it’s fair to say her crazy antics backfired when she was suddenly called to interview the former Labour Party leader at Number 10 after a heavy night of drinking.Speaking to Woman&Home magazine, the star confessed that the night before her interview she was partying with none other than Chris Evans and Kylie Minogue in the heart of Hyde Park. She told the publication: “One night, I ended up partying all night with Chris Evans at a party in Hyde Park, where Kylie [Minogue] was too.“I was meant to be off the following morning but was called to Downing Street with Robert Peston to interview Gordon Brown. It was really bad because I drank too much and thought I was going to be sick.“At one point, Gordon asked me if his hair was all right and I thought, ‘He’s got a bit of hair sticking up but I cannot go over to pat his hair down for fear of throwing up on him’.”And it turns out that the star was unable to keep the alcohol down as she confessed: “About half an hour later, I was.
