He’s slimmer too and full of energy, laying out our plans for the day with gusto: a visit to the Cottage Family Centre in Kirkcaldy, of which he is a patron, a tour of the Adam Smith Global Foundation followed by lunch with wife Sarah, and then back to the family home in Fife where the Browns have spent most of the past decade, and the whole of the pandemic.As he talks about football-obsessed Fraser, now 15, and 18-year-old John’s gap-year plans, his face lights up.
