BAFTA has responded strongly after a man crashed the final category at the film awards on Sunday night. The man, an alleged social media prankster who Variety has opted not to name, joined “Oppenheimer” director Christopher Nolan, producers Emma Thomas and Charles Roven and star Cillian Murphy on stage after Michael J. Fox named the best film winner at the climax of the ceremony.

BAFTAs last night (February 18) was met with a mixed reaction.The Good Omens star, who took over hosting duties at the ceremony at London’s Royal Festival Hall in the Southbank Centre, filled his monologue with a host of jokes which got plenty of laughs from his acting audience. After a few years in limbo, the BAFTAs finally found a host to replace the much-missed Stephen Fry in David Tennant. Ellise Shafer Film’s biggest stars are hitting the red carpet for this year’s BAFTA Film Awards.Taking place at Royal Festival Hall in London, the BAFTA Film Awards will celebrate the year in cinema with host David Tennant.Tennant rocked a green patterned suit on the carpet, while his wife Georgia Moffet opted for a gold gown. Other early looks included “Oppenheimer” star Cillian Murphy in an all-black outfit and Rising Star nominee Ayo Edebiri in a peach dress and chic fur coat.“Oppenheimer” leads the nominations with 13, followed by “Poor Things” with 11.

David Tennant returns to screens tonight as host of the BAFTAs. The much-loved Scots star reprised his iconic role as Doctor Who for the festive special in December as he made a comeback with three hour-long specials to celebrate 60 years of the hit BBC show.
