Prince William proved he can take a joke at his own expense as he awkwardly chucked his way through the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2024.The Prince of Wales, who is the President of BAFTA, attended the glamorous award ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday night.The night was a huge success for the makers of blockbuster film Oppenheimer which secured seven awards after being nominated for a whopping 13 of them.

The ceremony was hosted by Doctor Who Scots star David Tennant who was guiding the audience through the night which was filled with laughter and big wins, the Mirror reports.

The 52-year-old's own string of jokes left the crowds giggling while some of the other celebs who took to the stage to announce categories and declare winners also secured some chuckles.Comedian and actor Nick Mohammed was one of the stars to take to the stage at the glitzy award show as he cracked a joke at Prince William's expense.Addressing the audience, the cheeky 43-year-old joked that there would be a procedure in terms of evacuation in the event of an emergency.He claimed there was a strict order over who would be evacuated: “Starting with me.”He then listed the order of those that would be evacuated, ranking from the most important as he said: "Then it’s the BAFTA trophies, followed by winners, nominees, publicists, everyone else, influencers." His joke landed well with the crowd erupting into laughter as he then added: “Oh!

And the royals! Sorry. Sorry! Sorry!” The cameras cut to the Prince of Wales who was laughing along with the rest of the room.
