Two Scottish walks have been named as among the "most stunning" in the UK for a spring day out.Now that March is finally here, the spring months have officially begun.
There is no better way to celebrate the new season with a scenic walk or hike, and there are plenty of options across Scotland and beyond.For those in need of some inspiration, outdoor experts at Blacks put together a list of their favourite spring hikes around the UK.
Out of the five walks singled out, two are found in Scotland: the West Highland Way and the Great Glen Way. The West Highland Way is a 96-mile trail between Milngavie north of Glasgow and Fort William in the Scottish Highlands.
It is arguably Scotland's most famous long-distance walk, boasting stunning views of the Highlands and passing by iconic landmarks such as Ben Nevis and Loch Lomond.
