Pop documentaries are almost always marketed on the allure of proximity – allowing the viewer the privilege of being up close and personal with an artist despite that intimate feeling often being crafted within a space that still holds the audience at an arm’s length. In the new Disney+ documentary-concert film Driving Home 2 U, Olivia Rodrigo looks back on the making of her debut album Sour through in-studio footage captured on a GoPro tucked in the Los Angeles studio where she wrote and recorded the album with producer Dan Nigro.

Olivia Rodrigo has shared the trailer for her upcoming live concert film, Driving Home 2 U (A Sour Film) – watch below.The film follows the writing of her 2021 debut album ‘Sour‘, and was initially announced back in February with a teaser clip. It is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on March 25.Directed by Stacey Lee, Driving Home 2 U follows a road trip that Rodrigo took from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles during the time she was writing the album.

Hatchie has announced her second full-length album ‘Giving The World Away’ and shared a video for the single ‘Quicksand’.‘Quicksand’ was co-written with Dan Nigro, the producer and songwriter who worked closely with Olivia Rodrigo on her breakout hit ‘Drivers License’ and her debut album ‘Sour’.In its music video directed by Nathan Castiel, Hatchie – real name Harriette Pilbeam – lounges in a limousine as it traverses the city at night.
