A person has sadly died after being struck by a train in Fife yesterday. Emergency services were on the scene at around 6.10pm on Friday, May 15 after receiving reports of a "casualty on the tracks" in Kirkaldy.
British Transport Police confirmed they were in attendance, along with an ambulance crew. But the person was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
A BTP spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the line in Kirkcaldy shortly after 6.10pm last night following reports of a casualty on the tracks."Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene."The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Procurator Fiscal."Scotrail services in Edinburgh, Dundee and
