Pedestrian killed in horror crash with car on Glasgow road as cops launch probe

Cops are investigating after a pedestrian was killed in a crash in Glasgow last night. The 53-year-old man was hit by a white Audi while crossing Great Western Road, near to Cowdenhill Road, Knightswood, at around 10.10pm.

He was rushed by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, in Govan, but died a shortly afterwards. The 20-year-old male driver of the Audi car was unhurt.Sergeant Paul McPherson, Dumbarton Road Policing Department, said: "Whilst we were able to speak to a number of people last night following the crash, we'd still like to hear from anyone, particularly drivers with dash-cam footage who were in the area at the time."Cops are also keen to speak to a good samaritan private hire driver who tried to help the dying.
