including communicating a false distress message to the US coastguard, transporting a firearm across state lines while under indictment for a crime punishable by more than one year in prison, and for transmitting false information about the transport of that firearm.The plea agreement says: “There were no occupants on the boat.“A semi-automatic pistol was tied to the boat where a suicide note was found.”However, a number of clues helped make it clear that the suicide wasn’t real, including a variety of different suicide notes.The plea agreement noted that he had withdrawn $45,000 before he died and added: “One of the notes told family members not to change their phone numbers for a year”.He had been facing charges of sexual battery, touching of a child for lustful purposes, and exploitation of a child.
