International Olympic Committee member Hayley Wickenheiser has hammered the organisation for pressing ahead with plans to stage the Games this summer.
The IOC held a teleconference meeting yesterday with the leading sporting organisations to discuss what to do about the coronavirus pandemic that has ruined the sporting calendar.
It released a statement afterwards, insisting the Games in Tokyo in July and August would still take place as normal. But Wickenheiser has branded the decision 'insensitive and irresponsible'.
