Olympic Committee slammed by its own member over Tokyo 2020 decision

dailystar.co.ukInternational Olympic Committee member Hayley Wickenheiser has hammered the organisation for pressing ahead with plans to stage the Games this summer.
The IOC held a teleconference meeting yesterday with the leading sporting organisations to discuss what to do about the coronavirus pandemic that has ruined the sporting calendar.
It released a statement afterwards, insisting the Games in Tokyo in July and August would still take place as normal. But Wickenheiser has branded the decision 'insensitive and irresponsible'.
