There was some big news shared by Disney+ in the Star Wars universe on Friday during Disney Plus Day, which looks at upcoming shows and films for its streaming service.The Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff starring Ewan McGregor will be released in 2022, it was confirmed.

The series takes place 10 years after the events of Revenge Of The Sith which came out in 2005.Also on board is Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, who turned into the dreaded Darth Vader.

And Ewan teased that Obi-Wan may take on Hayden's Vader yet again in the new series. Old Ben:The Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff starring Ewan McGregor will be released in 2022, it was confirmed.
