Climate-conscious pupils at a Perthshire school have put their own spin on a renowned Christmas hit in the hope people will listen to their plea to protect the planet.

Primary school pupils at Morrison’s Academy were chosen as the first to be filmed singing a remake of Band Aid’s ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’With the eyes of the world on Glasgow for the COP26 conference, businesswoman Georgie Delaney and Morrison’s music teacher Rebecca Hall obtained permission from Live Aid founders Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to rewrite the charity single which first hit the charts in 1984 in a bid to support those affected by the devastating famine in Ethiopia.Renamed ‘It’s Action Time’, Ultravox frontman Ure used his profile on networking site LinkedIn
