After breaking out on popular Hulu series Normal People, Daisy Edgar-Jones has been tapped to star in the filmFresh. The Legendary project will be the feature directorial debut of Mimi Cave, a music video veteran who has worked withVance Joy, Danny Brown and Tune-Yards, among others.
Lauryn Kahn is behind the screenplay, with the plot of the film being kept under wraps. Hyperobject Industries’ Adam McKay and Kevin Messick, who worked with Kahn on Netflix comedy Ibiza, will produce.
Prior to starring in the series adaptation of Sally Rooney's best-selling book, Edgar-Jones appeared in HBO and the BBC's Gentleman Jack,British comedy-drama series Cold Feet and StudioCanal's series adaptation of H.G.
