Nicola Sturgeon has made an appeal to students to self-isolate if they show symptoms of Covid following outbreaks at two Scottish universities.
The First Minister called on undergraduates who have recently moved into shared accommodation to follow rules on social distancing and to isolate if they believe they have the virus.
Her intervention comes as the University of Glasgow announced yesterday it was dealing with "a number" of virus cases across its student reisdences.
And hundreds of students have been told to isolate after a suspected Covid outbreak at a private halls of residence in Dundee linked to Abertay University.
