Newcastle’s summer pursuit of Rafa Silva has reportedly been put on hold amid the coronavirus lockdown due to scouts being unable to watch the winger.
The Toon are expected to add several new players this summer after yet another below par season. Steve Bruce’s men languish in 13th place in the Premier League, eight points above the relegation zone.
They have flirted with the idea of the drop for much of the year, but strong showings against better teams have helped their case.
That being said, Bruce is likely to add new additions to his side before the start of the new season, whenever that may be. And he was looking to make one of those Benfica wide man Rafa Silva, who has been a key player for the Primeira Liga outfit this season.
