East Ayrshire village.Miller Homes plans to build 115 houses in a field on Irvine Road in Kilmaurs.Fourteen objections were lodged over the proposal expressing concerns about increased traffic, flooding and other issues.But councillors gave the go-ahead for details of the residential development in principle at an East Ayrshire Council committee meeting on Friday.There is to be a mixture of two-storey semis, detached and terraced houses.
Cottage flats and single-storey homes will also be available. All homes are to be fitted with solar panels on roofs and buyers can choose from three, four or five-bedroom properties.Twenty-nine housing association homes are also to be built.
