Native wildlife which relies on the Tay reed beds in Perthshire recently destroyed by fire may now be at increased risk from the American mink.The Scottish Invasive Species Initiative (SISI) has published a blog detailing some of the issues now faced by native wildlife in the reed beds.The blaze on April 27 ran along three kilometres of the Tay’s north bank and took nine hours to be brought under control by dozens of firefighters.According to SISI - led by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) and funded by SNH and the National Lottery Heritage Fund - the fire destroyed around 30 per cent of the reed beds.Perth professor welcomes development of antibody test in fight against COVID-19RSPB Scotland previously said it could take over a year for
