Cambridgeshire Live reported.The fire service is working with the UK Health Security Agency andthe nursery to determine what the cause may be and if any measures need to be put in place to stop further instances from happening.There is believed to be no wider risk to the community.A witness on the scene has said that some parents are being called forward to collect their children.They are being told to take the kids home, strip them, wash the kids, shower the children.They are talking about body rashes too, the aforementioned title said.
Traffic monitoring site Inrix has reported that roads in the area were closed as well. The initial call came in to emergency services just after 10am this morning and the UK Health Security Agency are currently on the scene as part of the investigation.As part of the joint statement with the fire service, they have reiterated that parents have been notified and the children are safe.To stay up to date with all the latest news, make sure you sign up for one of our newsletters here.It is understood people have been in touch with staff via telephone and that 13 out of 68 people inside the building had been displaying symptoms.The area has been contained and air samples are being taken.The full joint statement from Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service and UK Health Security Agency reads: "We are currently dealing with an incident on Thrapston Road, Brampton and emergency services are present as a precaution."A small number of children and staff at a nursery are feeling unwell and have experienced some mild symptoms including a rash and cough.
We are currently investigating the cause of this and as a precaution have emergency service staff on site."Parents have been notified and the children.
