DIY hacks as she transformed her kitchen for just £200.Leanne Ward, 33, from Derbyshire, crafted the room for cheap with her husband Ash and documented it on @SixtySevenBelmont.Although she shared it on Instagram, the mum also spoke to Joseph Joseph to explain how she did it.

She described her style as "electric boho with a modern deco twist", but "always finds it hard to pin down a style". The mum said: "When we moved in, the kitchen was the one area I thought we were going to have to rip out and start from scratch."Our plan was to live with it while we saved, then look at removing the adjoining wall and making a kitchen diner space."I think I lasted around 8 months before looking at budget friendly ways to update it."Leanne used Instagram and Pinterest for inspiration then originally started focusing on the tiles and cupboards for a quick fix.She added: "As I could afford to buy more and collect more ideas, I then moved onto the tile trim, the worktops, floor etc. "Even if you can afford to only do a little bit at a time, small changes can still make a big difference."She said her favourite transformation was the open shelving or Terrazzo effect floor.

Leanne continued: "I think both were integral parts of the design that has made the kitchen feel more modern. "The end kitchen unit had glass doors with old fashioned lead trim, by removing the cupboards doors and painting the inside black."It has created a more on trend 'open shelving' area for me to display accessories and plants."Her top tip would be "just say 'go for it', as at the end of the day it's only paint and some ideas don't always work.
