Manchester United will play Liverpool in their third game of the new Premier League season. Liverpool beat United 5-0 at Old Trafford and 4-0 at Anfield last season, and Erik ten Hag will be looking to prevent another embarrassing scoreline in his third game in charge.

United's game against Liverpool is pencilled in for 3pm on Saturday 20 August, but the kick-off time and potentially the date of the game will be amended in the coming weeks for TV broadcasting purposes.

United lost 4-1 against City when making the trip to the Etihad under Ralf Rangnick last term. United's key fixtures (dates subject to change and kick-off times to be confirmed) United have a reasonable run of fixtures to end the season, with their final five games scheduled against Aston Villa, West Ham, Wolverhampton, Bournemouth and Fulham.
