The future of Cristiano Ronaldo is once again the source of speculation after he reportedly asked to leave Manchester United.
It has been claimed by The Times that Ronaldo has asked to be allowed to leave the club should they receive a satisfactory offer for his services.
The motive behind the reported request is his desire to play Champions League football for the remainder of his career. Ronaldo was arguably United's best performer last season under Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Ralf Rangnick, scoring 24 goals in 38 appearances.
