A mum says her breastmilk turned green after she and her baby tested positive for Covid.Mum-of-one Ashmiry took to her Instagram page to show how the virus had seemingly affected her breastmilk.The mum claims the colour changes prove how beneficial breastmilk is for babies - saying that it went green because it is flooded with all the nutrients her baby needs to fight coronavirus.

Ashmiry shared a picture of her usual cream-coloured breast milk which she had stored before she and her daughter tested positive, reports the Daily Star.

The young mum then compared the older breastmilk to the freshly pumped pouch which was a fluorescent green colour.The mum shared the snap on Instagram to promote the benefits of breastfeeding.She said: "I really wanted to share this photo of my breast milk."It actually let me know something was going on in my body and my babies."How amazing is breast milk, it's magical and I'm so thankful to be able to produce it especially now!"The colour change indicates that my body is making exactly what Rubi needs!"Antibodies, extra fatty and just pure goodness."Ashmiry was so convinced the breastmilk was full of Covid antibodies that she decided to drink some herself.She said: "I was so grateful at that time, that I was still nursing."Otherwise if not I would have not experienced that or seen what my body was able to do for Rubi."We all had some of that breast milk.

I had my own breast milk."But hey I got better, I was tired of being sick, so I was thinking 'I'm going to drink some of that breast milk', and I did.
