Mum demands refund for wasted 10-mile trip after finding note outside Jobcentre

A mum has asked for a refund after she wasted a 10 miles of fuel getting to the Jobcentre - which she found out was closed due to Covid.

Andrea Hill has accused the Department for Work and Pensions of treating her like a 'second-class citizen' by not promptly informing her that her local Jobcentre in Stock-on-Trent had been closed. Two bus passengers and a fellow motorist had also turned up for appointments only to be turned away, StockonTrentLive reports.
