Kile Gillan, 19, and Rachel Gillan, 38, launched the attack after Ms Forrest showed up at their house to "give him a piece of her mind".
Ms Forrest's daughter, Paige Brittle, had been in a six-year relationship with Kile which had ended after it turned "volatile".
When he demanded she return a pair of expensive trainers he had given her, Ms Forrest decided to "cut them into little pieces" before returning them.
