Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.A Motherwell man who attacked police officers has been handed a one-year supervision order.Jamie Howieson, 26, of WoodsideTower, was also ordered to do 150 hours of unpaid community work when he appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.He admitted threatening or abusive behaviour and two charges of police assault.Defence agent Stephen MacBride said dad-of-two Howieson has previous convictions, but his rate of offending has fallen in recent times.Mr MacBride added: “He has no memory of this incident, having taken alcohol and street valium.“However, he has accepted responsibility and pleaded guilty at the first opportunity.”Sheriff Daniel Kelly told.
