Greater Manchester Police have issued an appeal following an incident at the News Food and Booze off-licence on Beal Lane in Shaw.

Cops were called at around 5.45pm on Monday, September 21. Two men, armed with a machete and a knife, threatened a shop owner in his 40s and stole 'a large quantity' of cigarettes and cash.

Police said the men were white. One was around 6ft, of slim build and was wearing a light-coloured Armani hoodie; dark jogging bottoms; dark-coloured gloves;and dark-coloured trainers.
